This is a petition to get the wyre forest community housing to move me from a 3rd floor flat with no lift to a house/bungalow.
i am 26 years old and in my pregnancy with my little girl i went into heart failure and required a heart transpslant, this transplant only lasted for 2 and half years and in 2005 i underwent my second transplant. my daughter leonie also has the heart condition (dilated cardiomyopathy) at 7yrs old , and my younger brother passed away from complications following transpland aged 18 so it is a disease that has ravished our family
over the past 7mths my health has deteriated and and i am unable to do excertion acivities as it makes me get short of breath and suffer paplaptations, a also suffer severe panic attacks !!
as i have arrears with the council they are unwilling to consider me for a house or bungalow which i think is a disgrace...
the reasons i accumilated arrears is due to csa payments from my daughters father, one monthi would get £50 the next month £200 these irratic payments obviously effected my housing benifit entitlement.
eventually my illness will take my life and i dont think my request is unreasonalble, i just want somewhere safe and secure for myself and daughter to live.
the council have offered me 2 propertys both being flats again , the first one is in an area although close to where i am now, where drug users are known to frequent and the second is about amile away from any school ... so how do i get my daughter to school with my mobility being as bad as it is ?????
both propertys have communal gardens which is another worry to me it means leonie (my daughter) would have to play outside unsupervised, and obviously that is a risk in itself ...
if they gave me a house or bungalow even on my worst day i would be able to sit in the garden and supervise her while she plays,and i would only have to do the stairs in a house a few times a day which is nothing compared to the stairs i have to climb now, she is 7 yrs old now and its becoming incresingly more difficult to keep her cooped up in the house .
i have asked to be considered for the rent loan scheme so i can go private that was rejected .....
also iv asked to be considered for a house on offmore which has a stair lift that was also rejected... it seems like im banging my head up a brick wall and i dont know where else to turn
i have the support of 2 loacal MP's and also the hospice i attend for pallitive care, iv also got support letters from my consultants and nurses but even that doesnt seem to be helping .
